ABOUT
omar
Omar Lopez-Cepero is of Puerto Rican descent and grew up outside of Atlanta, GA. His family exposed him to the arts and music at an early age but for much of his youth he dedicated his time to competitive athletics. It wasn't until his High School Music and Theatre teachers recognized and cultivated his talent as a singing actor, that he began to consider it as a career. He went on to the University of Miami to study Classical Vocal Performance and has been lucky to carve out a widely varying career as an Actor and Singer. Omar has been seen on Broadway in such shows as American Idiot, On Your Feet! and recently starred as Judas in the 50th Anniversary Touring Production of Jesus Christ Superstar followed by the acclaimed new revival production of Evita as Che which played The American Repertory Theater and The Shakespeare Theater. He has also been seen on Television with guest starring appearances on The Detour, Blue Bloods, and Vegas.
