Omar Lopez-Cepero is of Puerto Rican decent and grew up outside of Atlanta, GA. His family exposed him to the arts and music at an early age but for much of his youth was considered an athlete first. It wasn't until his High School Music and Theatre teachers recognized and cultivated his talent as a singing actor, that he began to consider it as a career. He went on to the University of Miami to study Classical Vocal Performance and has been lucky to carve out a widely varying career as an Actor and Singer in shows ranging from American Idiot to On Your Feet to The Unsinkable Molly Brown.
